“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…” (Acts 1:8)
In response to Christ’s command and in reliance on the Holy Spirit, we enter this covenant as a voluntary commitment to truth, discipleship, and Gospel boldness. This is not a legal contract but a mutual pledge before God and one another to walk in faithfulness.
I affirm the historic Christian faith as revealed in Scripture:
The Bible is God’s inspired, authoritative Word, without error in its original manuscripts, and final in all matters of faith and practice.
There is one God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, sinless, crucified for our sins, bodily resurrected, and returning to judge the living and the dead.
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, not by human merit or moral effort.
All people are born in sin, under God’s righteous judgment, and must repent and trust in Christ for forgiveness and new life.
I have had a believer's baptism :
Believer's baptism is the immersion of a repentant, trusting follower of Jesus. It does not save you; it pictures your salvation. It is the outward, physical sign of an inward, spiritual reality: you have died to your old life of sin, been buried with Christ, and been raised to walk in newness of life.
It is obedience to the King, a testimony to the world, and the formal step of joining His Church.
It is understood not as a sacrament that confers saving grace, but as an ordinance—a commanded symbol of a spiritual reality that has already occurred in the heart of the believer through faith alone.
Prioritize Christ Together: I will attend gatherings, trainings, and outreach opportunities consistently. If I must miss a session, I will communicate with leadership promptly.
Guard Confidentiality: Personal testimonies, spiritual struggles, and prayer requests shared within this group will remain private, unless someone is in danger or requires formal pastoral care.
Speak Truth in Love: I will treat every member with respect, avoid gossip or division, and pursue unity grounded in biblical truth.
Honor Parents & Authorities: If I am under 18, I submit to my parents’ oversight and keep them informed of ministry activities, locations, and commitments.
Practice with Courage, Not Cleverness: I will share the Gospel relying on the Spirit’s power and biblical truth, not manipulation, debate tactics, or cultural accommodation.
Embrace Correction: I welcome doctrinal and pastoral correction, understanding that discipleship requires humility, repentance where needed, and growth (2 Tim. 3:16–17).
Live a Gospel-Shaped Life: I will pursue personal holiness, prayer, and daily Scripture engagement, knowing that our witness outside the group flows from our walk with Christ.
Serve the Mission: I will participate in planned outreach, service partnerships, training, and mission opportunities to the best of my ability, scheduling conflicts being the only acceptable reason to decline.
I submit to the spiritual oversight of Maranatha Project leaders, trusting their guidance in doctrine, training structure, and outreach safety. I understand that persistent unrepentant sin, doctrinal rebellion, or refusal to engage with accountability may result in my removal from active participation until restoration is pursued.
