"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together..." (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Every pastor believes in the Great Commission. Every church leader wants to see their people sharing their faith with confidence. But between Sunday prep, pastoral care, and keeping the lights on, developing a sustainable evangelism training system often gets pushed to the bottom of the list.
You've tried:
Occasional "bring a friend" Sundays that didn't move the needle
Downloading free evangelism resources that sit in a binder untouched
Encouraging your people to "be bold" without giving them actual tools to practice
Watching members attend conferences, get excited for a weekend, then return to comfortable silence
You don't have a willingness problem. You have a systems problem.
Your people want to share their faith. They just don't know how to start, and they don't have a safe place to practice before the stakes feel real.
The Maranatha Project partners with churches and organizations to transfer the Anchor Group training process into your context. We don't just run an event and leave. We help you develop your own mobile evangelism teams, your own outreach calendar, and your own confidence in sending people into the mission field.
This is not a program we impose. This is a culture we help you cultivate.
When you partner with us, you get:
We train your pastors, elders, and key lay leaders not just in evangelism tactics, but in how to facilitate the Anchor Group curriculum, correct theological drift, and shepherd students through real-world deployment.
You receive full access to the 10-week Anchor Group syllabus, role-play scripts, tracking sheets, leader shepherding guides, and all accompanying materials. You own the process for your context.
We help you plan and execute community outreach events that create natural Gospel opportunities—block parties, bounce house park events with food and music, car shows, community carnivals, or Vacation Bible School support. We bring the playbook; you bring the people.
Once your team is trained, we partner with you to deploy into your community together. We don't just equip; we go with you until your leaders feel confident leading independently.
You're not left to figure this out alone. We offer quarterly check-ins to troubleshoot challenges, refine your outreach strategy, and celebrate what God is doing through your teams.
We work best with churches and ministries that:
Hold to historic, biblical orthodoxy and the authority of Scripture
Are willing to commit to at least a 6-month partnership (one full training cycle plus deployment)
Have at least 2-3 leaders ready to be trained as facilitators
Want to build a self-sustaining evangelism culture, not just host a one-time event
We do not partner with ministries seeking a quick fix or a consumer-style program that requires zero internal investment. This work requires your people, your prayer, and your pastoral leadership.
Step 1: Discovery Call (30 minutes) We meet to understand your church's size, culture, current evangelism efforts, and vision for what God might be calling you to. We'll ask hard questions about your readiness and help you evaluate whether this partnership is the right fit.
Step 2: Leadership Alignment (Half-Day Training) We come to your location and train your core leadership team (pastors, elders, key lay leaders) on the Anchor Group curriculum, the Columbo Tactic, and the theology of evangelism. This is not a lecture; it's hands-on practice. Your leaders will role-play, ask hard questions, and leave with clarity on what they're committing to.
Step 3: Anchor Group Launch Support (Weeks 1-4) We help you recruit your first Group, run the Preview Night, and facilitate the first four weeks of training alongside your leaders. We model the teaching, debrief the practice sessions, and ensure your team is ready to take the reins.
Step 4: Deployment & Outreach Planning (Weeks 5-10) We help you plan your first community outreach event or local deployment. We walk through logistics, safety protocols, and Gospel presentation together. Your leaders begin to take greater ownership of facilitation.
Step 5: Transfer & Sustainability (Months 4-6+) By month four, your leaders are facilitating the Anchor Group independently. We shift into a consulting role—available for questions, troubleshooting, and encouragement, but no longer driving the process. You are now a self-stating evangelism culture.
The mission field is not waiting. Every week your people remain untrained is a week of lost opportunities to proclaim Christ to your community.

"I’m barely a year into my faith. Do I need to know the whole Bible to join the Anchor Group?" No. You do not need to have a theology degree or memorize the entire Bible, but you do need to be hungry to study it. This ministry exists precisely because most believers are never taught how to open their Bibles and understand the core doctrines of the Christian faith. We will build the foundation together. Bring your questions, bring your doubts, and bring a willingness to learn.
"I’m not an extrovert. What if I get anxious talking to strangers?" Evangelism is not about having a big, outgoing personality; it is about faithfully proclaiming the truth in the power of the Holy Spirit. The quietest person in the room can often be the most effective witness. We use the Columbo Tactic specifically because it replaces the pressure of "having all the answers" with the simple, conversational habit of asking good questions. We practice in a safe environment until the anxiety fades and confidence in Christ takes its place.
"Are we actually being sent out to preach on the streets?" We are trained for the real world, not just the classroom. Deployment is a core component of the Anchor Group, but you will never be thrown into deep-end conversations without preparation. All local outreach is strictly supervised by vetted, background-checked adult leaders, conducted in pairs or small groups, and debriefed afterward. We start small and build your confidence progressively.
"What is your theological stance? Is this aligned with my church?" We are firmly rooted in historic, orthodox Christianity. We hold to the inerrancy of Scripture, the Trinity, the deity and humanity of Christ, salvation by grace through faith alone, and the necessity of repentance and faith in the Gospel. We are not a replacement for your local church; we are designed to equip you to be a stronger, more faithful member of the body you belong to.
"Is the Anchor Group for youth only, or can young adults join?" Both. The Anchor Group is designed for youth, roughly ages 16+, and adults. We mix these Groups intentionally because younger students need the example of older believers, and young adults need the opportunity to step into leadership and mentorship roles.
"Can the Maranatha Project come to our church to train our evangelism team?" Yes. Once our internal Teams are trained and experienced, we partner with other churches and organizations to help them build their own culture of evangelism. We can train your evangelism teams, co-facilitate community outreach events (like car shows, park carnivals, or VBS), and help you develop sustainable systems for making disciples.
