"I don't know much about the Bible. Am I going to be exposed?" Good. That's exactly why we're here. Nobody in the Anchor Group is expected to walk in on Day 1 knowing how to explain the Trinity or defend the resurrection from memory. We'll teach it together. What we do expect is a willingness to open your Bible, do your reading, and ask honest questions. Ignorance we can fix; apathy we can't.

"What if I get nervous talking to strangers?" Then you're normal. Every single person on our leadership team has had a conversation go sideways, freeze up, or get shut down. The role-play lab exists specifically so you can stumble in practice before you stumble on the street. By the time we deploy, you'll have a rhythm and a toolkit that carries you when your nerves don't.

"Is this just another Bible study or youth group?" No. A youth group is often about fellowship and socializing, which is good—but it's not the same thing as tactical training. The Anchor Group is a team with a start date, a completion point, and an assignment. You'll leave each week with homework, a prayer target, and a real-world practice conversation. This is formation, not just information.

"What if I mess up during role-play in front of everyone?" You will mess up. That's the whole point. The role-play lab is designed to be a low-stakes environment where you can try something, fail, get corrected, and try again. If you're waiting until you feel "ready" to share the Gospel, you'll never start. We sharpen one another through practice, not through performance.

"Do I have to be 'super spiritual' to join?" There's no such thing. If you're a Christian who wants to grow in boldness and clarity, you belong here. We're not looking for people who have it all together; we're looking for people who are hungry to serve the Lord and willing to be shaped. That's it.

"What if my parents don't go to church? Can I still join?" Yes. We honor parents and guardians, but your relationship with Christ is between you and Him. We'll work with you on how to communicate what you're doing to your family in a way that respects them. If you're under 18, we'll still need a parent signature for the covenant and the outreach permission form—we can help you have that conversation.

"I was kind of dragged here by a friend or a parent. Do I have to be here?" We're glad you walked through the door, even if someone else pushed you. But this isn't mandatory, and it won't work if you're only here because you're told to be. Give us one Preview Night. If, after that, you're not interested, no pressure. But if there's even a small hunger in you to follow Jesus more seriously, stay and see what happens.

"What exactly is the 'Mobile Evangelism Team'?" It is just a trained group that moves through the entire curriculum together. You start together, practice together, and deploy together. It's not a drop-in program where people come and go each week. The cohesion of the group is part of what makes the training effective—you learn to trust the people you're serving alongside.

"What happens if I disagree with something that's taught?" Bring it up. We're not here to punish questions; we're here to chase truth. The only thing we won't tolerate is someone using "disagreement" as a cover for persistent unrepentant sin or a refusal to submit to the doctrinal boundaries of the Ministry Covenant. If you have a genuine theological question, we'll work through it with you, with the Bible open.

"Do I actually have to go out on the street and talk to people?" Eventually, yes. That's the whole point of the Anchor Group. But we don't throw you into the deep end first. You'll practice in the classroom for weeks before we ever deploy. And when we do deploy, you'll be paired with a leader or a partner in a supervised, defined area. You won't be alone with a stranger.

"Is there a cost?" The core training is free or offered at minimal cost (typically the price of printed materials for your Student Anchor Packet). If the cost of printing becomes a barrier for you, talk to a leader privately—we'll handle it discreetly. No student is turned away for financial reasons.
